Speed, I would like your opinion on the size of a roping pen to practice for rodeos? How deep should I make my boxes and where should I position them inside my arena? I am building my own arena and I need some advice from you. Thanks.

Your welcome Toni and thanks Brian but you can learn a lot from those other websites too. I only try to give my insights on what goes on in my mind and the way I see things. I have a lot of plans going forward but wow it takes a while to get anything done. B J I was at Todd Hughes house the day they showed them to me. He had cut part of his off and he like it. It was for people who were concerned about losing there thumb or already had. I only used it for one day but it was not for me but was a good tool to keep your thump safe. Ryan will try to film the barn soon glad you got everything fix on paypal. Jeff glad to hear you are doing good and thanks guys for taking the time to post stuff on here good luck with your ROPING.

Jeff Kenslow - 2/22/2012 9:22:12 AM
I agree with you Brian about the best web site. Im a memeber on others and they are helpful,But this site is by far the best in my opion. Anybody who likes roping should really try it. And if you ever get a chance to go to speeds house and rope DO IT.He and all his family are very nice and helpful. Its amazing how much he can point out on videos of your runs and what little things can make such a big differnce. I left speeds went to US roping that weekend and won more than the school cost. Besides getting to actually rope with speed that was AWESOME

ryan dunn - 2/21/2012 5:29:32 PM
got everthing going to day should have had membership long time ago thanks for calling me back and when will we get to see the barn

Speed, I know you used to endorse Thumb Savers. Just wondering your thoughts on them and if you had or saw a bad experience with them that changed your mind, and that is why you don't endorse them anymore? Do you still use them? I have broke my thumb twice heeling and would just like to know.

brian stanaland - 2/20/2012 9:06:02 PM
If you go back on the road please team up with jade. Love to see ya"ll together for a year. Who do you think would be a good match for you.And love the inside of your web site the way you breakdown how you work on your head horses really helpful. Whoever is think about join the site its really worth it 100% i join a few other sites i dropped them i didnt like waiting all mouth to watch 10 videos then nothing the rest of the time.

Toni Headstream - 2/20/2012 2:25:58 PM
Speed just wanted to say thanks for posting the womens open(free i might add). I did not relly feel my horse pulling on me but boy did it show in your video. Have to score somemore. Thanks again

Speed Williams - 2/17/2012 10:05:27 AM
William Perry have bad news this is an expensive hobby horses, feed , maintenance on them and truck and trailer to haul the around. Have you figured out a number you can spend a month on roping. I see you are in the Air Force consider your membership paid on speedroping.com. I wish you the best with your roping hope this helps you there are plenty of videos on how to improve your roping and horses on here. Best of luck with your roping

William Perry - 2/17/2012 4:32:58 AM
I really like what your doing here and think it will be a huge asset to ropers of all ages trying to better theirselves at all calibers. I am younger and work but find it hard to be able to afford memberships and dues as well as afford to take care of my family, horses, and pay to rope often. Just wondering how someone on a budget can better theirselves and possibly get better at roping with limited time in the arena.

Speed Williams - 2/15/2012 6:55:28 AM
Wow I am almost caught up with last week videos I will never leave my wireless card at home again. Dusty those questions go on the inside for me to answer under question and thanks farmer. Yes the horses have made a huge improvement lately. Clay its not getting it out of her hand fast enough its she is thinking about other stuff and not letting go of it. She had her first day of roping good away from home this weekend will be talking about it soon. Alfredo have use different kinds before but has been awhile in the past my head moves to much and when I put it on my chest you can not see anything.Great to hear Jeff and I see you on here a lot.

dusty tattam - 2/8/2012 12:30:06 AM
Speed i have a young horse that starts on his right lead and drops into the left lead when taking the corner it has attendancy to get me to the in side if i dont keep him picked up. I noticed martys horse in slow motion does the same with his leads. whats your opinion?

farmer john - 2/7/2012 8:26:12 PM
The last month of locked videos really sum up a lot of time, and training. To be able to follow the horses through the process and witness their seasoning is really unique to this site.

clay armstrong - 2/2/2012 12:04:58 AM
I WAS WATCHING ABOUT YOUR WIFE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING IT OUT OF HER HAND FAST ENOUGH. TYLER MAGNUS HAS A VIDEO SAYING TO GET IT OUT ON YOUR FINGERTIPS SO YOU CAN GET LET GO FASTER. WHAT DO YOU THINK? THIS SEEMS TO HAVE HELPED ME SOME.

Alfredo Virgen - 2/1/2012 5:52:49 PM
Speedy, Have you thought of using a point of view camera on yor cap. I have been using one for heeling and boy thus it give alot of feedback once you play the video. I bought it to see my postiion and if I was throwing my heel loop at the correct time. It works better than I thought.
It would be great if you bought one and used it heading and heeling, that would be alot of fun!
Keep up the great work.

Jeff Lynn - 1/31/2012 7:01:29 PM
I have been out with a laberal tear. but study this site. Im back just finished a good head horse, I rarely miss now. Ive always roped right to left but Speeds swing with tip down has changed my direct shot. Benn ropin with Ronnie Graves. im a 4 He asked me today to head in Tulsa saturday in the ten Thanks Speed. U took me to a new level.

farmer john - 1/24/2012 10:56:53 AM
Say what didnt haul Earl?

Speed Williams - 1/24/2012 10:24:53 AM
Well guys headed to Florida nothing like a 24 hour trip with the Family and 3 horses.

Speed Williams - 1/23/2012 9:45:22 AM
Thanks Ricky glad it helped you there is a lot more to watch. Thanks for taking the time to post the comment be looking for my phone call soon. Best of luck with your roping

Rickey Snowden - 1/22/2012 3:36:37 PM
I have spent a lifetime roping calves, trying to rope horns now. I never gave a thought to roping right to left, always both. Watched both videos and saw every problem I was having. It did not take a month, but all afternoon to figure it out. That one video was worth the price of subsciption for the whole year. Thanks, Rickey Snowden

Speed Williams - 1/20/2012 9:48:00 AM
I can do that

Robert Mortensen - 1/20/2012 9:09:03 AM
how about a reaching category in your video library

Speed Williams - 1/18/2012 12:25:54 PM
Les yes I am trying to build an indoor arena so I can book schools and the weather not be such a factor. I am looking for a company that would be interested in doing advertising on speedroping.com. Right now I have bids from 4 different companies still working on the details on everything. I need to eliminate the weather from being a factor so getting serious about this indoor arena

Speed Williams - 1/18/2012 12:16:14 PM
Bob the buford is a good machine if you are by yourself and have no help but I really prefer the hot heels because you can change stuff up and the ground is better on your hot=rse if it does not get so hard going in the same tracks

Speed Williams - 1/18/2012 12:13:17 PM
Monty we are still working on the jenn stick to see how hard its going to be to add on. We are not sure about that but will know in the next few weeks to be sure right now looks like it will only be on the new ones due to the complications on it and the legs moving at the right time.

Speed Williams - 1/18/2012 12:09:12 PM
I just got a dally master as soon as I get it up and using it will talk about cole but anytime you can practice dallying it will help in the long run that one thing i really like about the hot heels is you can go slow till you get it done right

Speed Williams - 1/18/2012 12:06:28 PM
Susan I have no pull with rodeo Houston they would not even call me back last year about roping in the rodeo. I will have the NFR Package seats again this year through the MGM Grand. I will keep you posted on those as soon as they come available

phillip berry - 1/18/2012 11:43:51 AM
hey speed i was just gonna ask you if you could come put on a team roping school in oklahoma so i can get some pointers so i can get started what i love to do is rope ive been doin it since i can remember

monty hurlburt - 1/17/2012 9:18:54 PM
will the jen stick be a add on to the existing hot heels

Bob Unruh - 1/17/2012 6:53:14 PM
Speed - I use a Buford because I can't find anyone to rope with when I need to practice. I really like the ability to do repetition by myself anytime I have any spare time. I have roping stock, but my schedule doesn't fit any of my roping buddies schedule. Also, the kids just love being able to practice without me being there. thanks

SUSAN WILL - 1/16/2012 10:55:58 PM
THANKS FOR THE MGM NFR PACKAGE. WILL YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT WE COULD USE AT RODEO HOUSTON?

Sherron Dudoit - 1/11/2012 10:07:03 PM
Whats up Speed, well we could'nt get a hot heels out to hawaii for a good rate.It was going to cost me $915.00 to get it to Oahu the main port and a few hundred to my island that sucked cause I was realy looking forward to getting one. Thanks for everything

Les Robertson - 1/11/2012 10:03:24 AM
Speed any question or changes on your quote just let us know and thanks.

Jody Higgins - 1/4/2012 1:25:43 PM
I am staying in the Houston area for about 6 weeks undergoing some medical treatments and was wondering if any of you guys out there no of anywhere to rope. I can be reached at 318-282-0703.
Thanks, Jody Higgins

charlie phillips - 1/3/2012 6:25:15 PM
Speeed My 4 yr old son loves the videos off Gabe. I have to waite for him to go to bed before i can watch your videos. If my son sees me on the computor he wants to watch Gabe jump the tire then wants to go to the arena and saddle his pony. Just wanted to say thanks now i have a tire in my arena. And a monster that keeps me on my toes. My son did win his first dummy roping 2 months ago thanks

cole stevens - 1/2/2012 3:47:37 PM
speed do dally masters give bad habits or are they good for you to use if anyone knows any thing write somthing thanks.

Charles Jordan - 1/1/2012 1:41:17 PM
Speed,

Happy New Year to you and your family. Glad you started talking about the different bits you use to get your horses working better. Would it be possible for you to do a short video on the top 4 bits you use and their pro's and con's?

ryan dunn - 12/31/2011 9:34:04 AM
that was good that u let them get there horse back there are a lot off hores out there to buy

nate mohar - 12/29/2011 3:49:31 PM
Glad to help.

Sherron Dudoit - 12/28/2011 4:52:32 PM
Thanks Nate, I got a call from speed and it tripped me out that he would go through the trouble of calling but he gave me the run down so Im sold on the Hot Heels, now just getting it to hawaii for a good rate cause shipping prices to hawaii sucks. But thanks again Nate god bless and have a safe and joyful New Year

Speed Williams - 12/27/2011 8:37:38 PM
Thanks nate love it when subscribers give there input on these questions but I will call him myself

nate mohar - 12/27/2011 3:32:44 PM
YOu have to throw a lot better loop to catch the hot heels and the head moves so its more realistic for headers as well. I've tipped mine over several times and it's still like new. I tried out both and found I got more realistic practice from the hot heels.

Sherron Dudoit - 12/26/2011 11:58:24 PM
Hey whats up Speed,I had a question about hot heels or heel-o-matic which would you think is better I know its a stupid question cause you use hot heels but its hard to get hot heels out here in Hawaii and I can get a heel-o-matic for $3,300.00 right to the warf on my island. If they both are ground drivin would you say that they are the same thing.I've been watching clips for two weeks now and can't decide, heel-o-matics legs seem like they dont go to close to the ground as the hot heels does and the back legs get closer to the front wheels on the hot heels to always have you be in timing then the heel-o-matic which is easier to catch cause its farther away. Please help me out.I really wanna get one soon I just got back into rodeo cause my son is a rodeo freak and my girls are loving it more and more.If you could help me out that would be a blessing
Thank you a bunch and much Mahalo

Have a merry Christmas!

john koyle - 12/23/2011 4:52:27 PM
I am having trouble viewing the videos. Issues started about 10 days ago. At best I am only able to view videos one time and then it says "stream not found." Other problem is that only a portion of the video loads and wont go beyond that point. Have tried loggin out and back in, refreshing, and cant get this to work. Suggestions? thx

farmer john - 12/22/2011 6:45:51 PM
If you are thinking a about a subscription I will give a few reasons why I feel it is sure worth the money. There is 1200 plus videos available as is. It would take a while to dent what Speed has already up. Now it seems he is loading up on head horses and getting in a serious mode. Guess sitting through ten rounds live at NFR lit a spark. I hope it starts a fire. He is talking about a short score scenario and that has to mean more than jackpotting. I don’t think he is going to make a run at making finals now, but once he feels he can draw deep in a herd and still win or place it will be hard to stay at home. That brings me back to the herd of horses now. How he goes about finishing and getting the most out of them is there for us to follow. He is working on it and describing the process. Now for the heelers there is a lot to see and learn as well. Not to mention the class of heelers to watch in slow motion. It probably took a few mechanical engineers a while to come up with the new invention of moving front feet. Speed solved it with some duck tape and a broomstick.lol. If you’re not in time no reward. The chute within a chute idea came from the tarp that at one time was a barrel placed in front for steers to negotiate. Personally, as just a fan of the sport I enjoy all aspects of the site and the more I learn the more I enjoy watching. If you are thinking about it try it a month and find out what is behind those locked videos and see if it doesn’t help your horsemanship and roping.

KELLY TULEY - 12/22/2011 1:30:53 PM
sweet short go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she missed the tutu shuffle lol

Daryl Lewis - 12/21/2011 1:00:29 PM

Speed Williams - 12/16/2011 10:19:08 PM
Chan Peters won it had Al from hot heels draw it himself going to have it very soon where anybody who wears a patch while roping (must be a subscriber)will be able to be in every drawing. Will have a way for people to upload a picture to their profile and there name will be put in the hat even if they are not at that specific event. Look for more details coming soon.

Reed Rider - 12/13/2011 10:52:56 AM
Did you announce a winner for the Hot-heels drawing at the WS?

Kathy Howell - 12/13/2011 1:12:51 AM
Hi Speed I am really interested in getting clinic dates for your schools. not really sure what to get my husband for Christmas and his 40th bday in Jan thought maybe I could combine the gifts and send him and our 4 year old son Wyatt Howell out there to rope for a weekend. My son eats, breathe's and sleeps teamroping. He would rather watch roping video's before cartoon's he loves your roping for kids training video's. And he never leaves home without a rope!!! He sure has a heart for roping and my husband is such a proud dad! His little hand even does the roping movement in his wrist when he sleep's sometimes it's the cutest thing. So I know the best gift I could give my husband and son for this special holiday is a special roping trip if you think it is possible to make that happen please send me an email with the possibilities! I know it would sure make my husbands holiday and birthday special if this worked out he is a true family man and works hard to try and make sure the kids dreams keep coming true. We have got the honor to meet you at the NFR the last 2 years in a row and got to see your kids rope at the dummy roping this year! Thank you for always taking the time to give those signatures!

lovingmyboys09@yahoo.com Hope to hear from you! Hapy holidays to you and your family!

Chuck Jowett - 12/12/2011 6:41:16 PM
is there no search function for the videos?

travis shelton - 12/12/2011 12:06:09 PM
Just got back from Vegas on your MGM package. The seats were fantastic. MGM's service to and from the rodeo was the best we've had in years. We'd like to thank you and MGM for putting together this package. Hope we get to do it again next year.

Speed Williams - 12/8/2011 10:50:51 AM

Chuck Buist - 11/23/2011 7:14:01 PM
Hey, Speed. Where can a get the sturip covers for a youth saddle? (Like the ones on Gabe's saddle). Do you like they go a good job as far as saftey to keep their feet from sliding threw? Also, what maker of youth (small) saddle fits a horse and a pony? Thanks, Chuck

Speed Williams - 11/23/2011 7:33:42 AM
I have been doing a lot of schools at the house so moved my office out of the house and down to the arena. Tack room, feed, apartment and maybe a kitchen just getting some bids this week to finished it out while we are gone to Vegas.I really need to build an indoor arena but have not worked that out on paper yet but trying very hard the numbers just don't add up right yet.!!!!!

Yes will have patches in Vegas

Clay L. Brown - 11/21/2011 8:31:06 PM
Are patches going to be given to subscribers in Las Vegas?

If you are going to Vegas to rope in the WSTR at the South Point going to give a hot heels away to one of my subscribers who wears a patch in Vegas. The deal is you have to be a subscriber and wear a patch while roping in the WSTR and come by the booth and put your name in the hat for the drawing to win the Hot Heels Roping Dummy 3,000 roping machine. The Drawing will be on the last day of the WSTR.

Dana Conrad - 11/3/2011 7:36:53 PM
We were able to catch your clinic at the USTRC finals. Listening to you talk about your wife and you roping together, made us think how wonderful it would be if you had a couples team roping clinic/school.

Henry Brown - 10/31/2011 11:09:28 AM
Well I tried to renew my subscription but PayPal wouldn't take my credit card so I guess I will have to wait for Ron to subscribe. Henry Brown

farmer john - 10/30/2011 9:49:00 PM
Lots of healing tips with hot heels, training on heel horses, timing etc.. Not to mention slow motion of Rich, Clay, Jade, Speed, and others. I think to see runs in slow motion then stopping at different spots is cool. I anticipate some hands to show to practice for NFR. Im in.

kyle lovejoy - 10/30/2011 8:15:55 PM
I had been looking around on the site and saw alot of heading stuff and that's great but is there alot of heeling stuff too? I mean I know speed is also an awsome heeler so I just wanted to as some opinions before I paid nothing personal just curious

lou chavez - 10/19/2011 7:05:09 PM
lou chavez -10/19/11 hello speed i was ask u ??? how can i fix my heading horse seem like if i stay by box for few mins and if i want go in heading box he wont go in also he knows if im ready to rope also he will do go if i keep riding him and not to stop riding him and go on heading boxd but when i park he wont go in until someone lead me in.... how can i fix that

farmer john - 10/18/2011 6:39:53 AM
The other roping sites are worth watching. There is always more than one idea on how to do things, but the new videos and content constantly being added to this site is hard to match. As a fan of the sport I have a new understanding on what to look for in all aspects of the sport and horsemanship.

ruben guerra jr - 10/10/2011 10:55:53 AM
hi speed ruben from school

Blake Teixeira - 10/5/2011 11:05:09 PM
Tell the lil sticker good job in the dummy roping..

Joseph Aiello - 10/3/2011 4:03:44 PM
Speed,

From Joseph Aiello/Michigan- attened the Indiana school.

I did not know how to E-mail directly so I'm writing this note.

I just watched the movie "Money Ball". You should see this movie! It reminded me of you big time. The most important part of the movie is when Billy Beane, coach of the Oakland Athletics, has a chance to win the World Series and says that it is more important that he will have CHANGED the game of baseball forever. This is what you did to teamroping!

I hope all is well and that you WIN the Windy Ryon this year.

farmer john - 10/1/2011 9:29:38 AM
If you are on the outside you are missing out. A chance to watch five rounds of NFR and ya gotta see Speed and Rich practice in slow motion with the toughest conditions- Stepping it up!

Jeff Kenslow - 9/29/2011 9:53:37 PM
Just wanted to say thanks again. The last three days was great, I learned more than i could have ever even imagined.Really glad i got to meet you and your family.

how can anyone complain about this website? i have learned more from this website in the last year than i have in the last 20 years of trying to do it without any help.man i remember when i used to pick up the western horseman magazine just to look for roping pictures of the pros.i woke up thinking of roping, would work chutes just to be around it & now we have one of the best ever helping us are you kidding? not only that as a youngster in a small town i always wondered what some of the pros were like. i never thought it possible to talk to one,but after seeing & talking to speed in reno i would say this man is giving more to this sport than many of us realize. thanks speed for taking time out of your busy life to help others. i am proud to be a part of your website.

Chan Peters - 9/26/2011 8:07:08 PM
Jennifer congrats for the way you roped in the 13. After talking with Speed i will be in OK for the finials. Thanks Speed. Also was in Hugo at the WSTR a lady said something about learning to rope like me :). There was but one answer speed roping.com hope that she joins. Best training website by far. Thanks again

Well I rope in the 13 today at the USTRC ropin in Abilene with a guy named Speed, anyway I was heeling and we were 7 on our 1st one a leg on our 2nd one and I hammered the 3rd one buttttt he got out of it, you would have thought I won the whole thing. I was soooo exited I finally roped pretty good away from home, good luck to all my Speedroping.com friends this weekend, let me know how you all do as well..

Very happy to hear Jim good luck with your roping

JIM WELLS - 9/14/2011 12:53:42 AM
Just wanted to say thanks for all your good tips. Had lots of guys say its tough to start if your older than 35. I started at 39 on a 4 year old horse. Last week I got checks in a 3 1/2, 4 1/2, 6 handycap, and got 1st, 4th, 5th in the 2 1/2 and got my first buckle. I just turned. 41. So in less than 2 years of lots of practice using your tips, I am starting to be competitive. Hope to see more tips soon. Thanks again
Jim

Speed Williams - 9/8/2011 1:19:36 AM
Thanks Bob all I can say is I try to keep it interesting and there are other training websites out there with good stuff from great ropers.I think anyone who is wanting to get better should sign up to all the difference websites for at least one month to see if you can learn just one thing. It might be the thing that you have been needing to make a difference in your roping or your horsemanship. They do not give those gold buckles away or trips to the NFR. There is a good chance if they have been there they can help you with your roping. It is a way for you to learn at your own pace and whatever subject you want to watch how ever many times you want. The USTRC finals is coming and the WSTR Finals are you and your horse ready to win. If you sign up for mine for a month and don't like it. Just post why you don't like it right here on the comments page and I will refund your money to you and will fix it ASAP IF I can.

Bob OBrien - 9/7/2011 10:40:58 PM
The money spent on this website is the best bang for the buck you can find. I've looked and joined other roping sites and they are o.k., this one is way better.

Speed Williams - 9/7/2011 3:13:26 PM

Thanks for all the videos on the website... It is helping me tons with some things I am doing wrong on both ends. I have trained my 4 yo just off of what I have learned on here and I am already being offered a bunch for her. Its kinda fun to take a colt somewhere and have the nicest horse in the pen. Just from someone spending the time to help guys that need it. Thanks man... My young horse leaves kinda the same way that your chief horse does. I think she is leaving on her front end first? But I cant tell. Also can you put a video up about keeping a horse collected and in your hand coming across the line. If I check my horses up any across the line they tend to come up in the front end (not bad just enough to break timing). How can I fix this? Thanks for your time and your help...

shane boston - 8/26/2011 6:59:24 PM
Thanks speed for the valuable knowledge you have taught my son and continue to teach him great lessons great family

farmer john - 8/26/2011 4:55:10 PM
There are lots of people glad Speed stays home.lol This site is helping the sport and lots of individuals.Get ready for the new wave of kids they are logged in.

Speed Williams - 8/26/2011 4:18:30 PM
Cole if you think a dollar a day is to high for my advice on how to get better sorry man I spent over 40,000 of my own money build this before I ever open it up. I see you are a 6 plus roper ever did the math on how much you spend a month on your roping now. There are over 300 free videos for anybody to watch with lots of short rounds too. Online training is not for everyone and I built this for people who want to get better at their roping and want the opportunity to know my opinion on how I believe to do things. I spend over 10,000 a month on this site with filmers, I T, Secretary, my time is not figuring in on this at all. I enjoy spending time at home with my family and allowing people to see how I practice and how I work my horses. I wish all of you the best with your roping and if you want my ideas on how to practice or win they will be at your finger tips. I have learned a lot of things the hard way just trying to save you some time on your journey.

Steve Phillips - 8/26/2011 2:35:15 PM
stay home a weekend and use that money to become a paid subsciber. It is well worth it and you will more than make it back with what you learn.

Thanks a bunch Speed. You are the best. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Steve Phillips - 8/22/2011 12:18:35 PM
Just wanted to drop a line and tell you and Jen what a enjoyable experience it was to get to come to your place and get to rope and watch the videos of whats going on with my horses and myself. I really enjoyed roping with Jen in the practice pen and at Glen Rose, and to get to heel behind Beverly Robbins, well, priceless ! I hope your back is better and you get back 100% asap. I'm back in North Dakota as of yesterday morning. Stopped By a Wrangler roping in Faith, SD on the way back and won a round and 2nd and 4th in the aveage of the senior 6. I hope to get to come by again when I make it back to Texas for a break, if not I'll see ya'll in Ok City in October ! Your Mis-Placed Texan, Steve P

Speed Williams - 8/21/2011 10:47:49 PM
Warren you are correct and there is only so much time in a day but there has been a lot of work done lately but remember my elbow and back has slowed done a lot of training. Plus have been swamped lately with schools at the house but the locked videos are coming. You are right and I am very aware of it and no it is not a trend for the future.

warren horner - 8/21/2011 9:43:54 PM
Hi Speed,
First, I want to say how much I enjoy your website and that I have learned a bunch from it. One observation. While I do enjoy watching your runs and the open short rounds immensely, lately it seems the site has become more about short rounds than instruction. My personal hope this is not a long term trend. I know you can't please everyone but I hope you don't mind hearing my two cents worth. Thanks

Rhyan Boesen - 8/21/2011 3:13:50 PM
Speed, Not only do I admire you as a roper, but as a person as well. I justed wanted to say you are an absolute wonderful father to your children. I love the videos with you in the arena enjoying those precious moments with your kids. You have not only taught me tips about roping, but how to be a fun father and making sure everything is safe and fun for the kids. Truthfully at the end of the day, its those children that mean the most! Thanks a Bunch!

Kelly Norman - 8/20/2011 4:39:32 PM
Speed, just want to say thanks for all the amazing instruction for Brady! Buddy and I produced ropings for 10 years, host kids rodeo camps for 7 and have received a lot of team roping instruction for ourselves and Brady, but i must say your website and instruction is by far some of the best help we have been apart of and experienced. As a parent i would suggest others to get their kids signed up and give you guys some visits! Blessing to your family!

Ferron Lucero Sr. - 8/17/2011 2:27:12 PM
Speed, thanks for the quick response, just watched it. This is an excellent web site and I recommend it to all ropers regardless of classification. God's Speed and hope to see you in OKC.

Paul Park - 8/9/2011 10:47:42 AM
Thanks again Speed for doing this website. Being a subscriber is like being personal friends with one of the top ropers in the world. When you compete, I get to hear, first hand, how you prepare and what goes right and what goes wrong with your runs. Invaluable!!!

Jim Chalfant - 8/5/2011 10:43:34 PM
It would be extremely helpful to some of us if you would video some lower number headers and heelers and critigue each portion of their run from leaving the box, approach to the steer, swing, handle, etc.

shane boston - 8/1/2011 5:15:57 PM
Hey its Danielle Boston...You forgot to mention on the updated video that his momma was there also to watch bedise Shane & Bobby Cox! lol

Just wanted to say THANK YOU once again for taking such good care of Tyler while he has stayed down in DeLeon with you and Jenn!

He looks amazing just the short time you have had him in your lessons! Tyler thinks your the BEST!!!!

scott wilkerson - 7/31/2011 8:32:53 PM
Hey Speed ,just a reminder, a few months ago you posted a video about tying on , and were gonna follow up with some numbers and Mr. Shurden video. I am still waiting . Thanks , Scott Wilkerson

speed thanks for video on Hamilton. I grew up in Burnet TX In Missouri now. Roy Gene blew a rope and got out too fast on one but the other runs looked good. Held him in and looked almost like your Handles on a few. Way to go Roy Gene.

Casey,

They tarp helps with your scoring. Makes you watch the steer and not just leave when the gates bang.

Casey Dey - 7/26/2011 6:10:29 PM
Why do you have a canvas behind the chute gate?

Justin Cobbs - 7/25/2011 4:22:48 PM
Hey Jim, it sounds like you must be logging on then watching a video and when the video is done clicking on the back button on your browser which takes you back to the login page. When you are done watching a video just click on view vidoes on the website.

Speed Williams - 7/25/2011 3:42:12 PM
We never had anybody have that problem before

Jim Chalfant - 7/25/2011 2:59:42 PM
It appears that everytime after I view a video and want to watch another I have to login again. What's the deal?

Gregory Pope - 7/24/2011 2:23:57 AM
Hi my name is Ryan and I was interested in coming to your roping school would you please email me @ rpope2010@yahoo.com or call me at 850-768-1905

Jeff Lynn - 7/20/2011 5:57:03 PM
strawn is alot like my Cinch horse. I hauled to many a ropin just tied him so he would get used to all the arenas. But he cut his tendon a month ago did surgery he is off for a year. Hope Strawn and Cinch make it back. Strawn really looks like a cow horse.

Hey Speed, this is a great training tool and worth every penny. Ive been a number 10 heeler for about 10 or 12 years. I never knew there was so much i didnt already know. Mainly my horsemanship has improved. It is very impressive seeing all of your knowledge of practicing, training, and winning all put on to a website that is in reach of every team roper in the world. Someone who is looking to improve is better off joining this website, so he can learn from these breakdowns that took years for you to learn, than doing it the wrong way and creating bad habbits for himself or his horse. Keep the videos coming. I also just enjoy watching good roping. Thanks. Enjoyed the visit.

brian stanaland - 7/17/2011 8:02:12 PM
on the last day of dummy drills can can you break it down what you where saying thanks.

Jeff Lynn - 7/14/2011 5:55:19 PM
breaking in 20 fresh one tonight. Gonna put it on in the chute. Ropings every thursday night at my place. Just going over videos to learn more so I can break them in correctly.

Speed Williams - 7/13/2011 1:13:36 PM
Thanks and very glad it has helped you. She is looking forward to another truck roping.

Steve Phillips - 7/12/2011 7:03:06 PM
Speed, Talking of the North Dakota ropings, In the last 2 months I,ve been lucky enough to win nearly $5000 at the WTRC's ropings and the All Amateurs Team Ropings, mostly heeling, which I have allways struggled with ! I give you and your site the credit as watching the best in slow motion over and over and listening to your advice has helped me make great strides in my roping on both ends. Haven't seen you and Jen since Tuleys at New years, but still want to head for her if I ever get home ! Thanks for all you do.

Was that Chris "Spanky" McSpadden of Blooming Grove fame ? Cause it has been probably more than 15 years since I saw you in a roping pen! However, I have seen you on a couple hunting shows on the TV this winter. If that's you call me when your coming back north after more of them pheasants, I'm in North Dakota working and don't get to see many Texans up here ! Got lots of good ropings happening up here, though!!

Speed Williams - 7/3/2011 9:51:46 AM
Thanks Fred and remember you need to work on catching everyone before you go and try to learn to reach. First step First

Fred Pfeil - 7/2/2011 8:30:52 PM
Howdy All, I wanted to comment on the site for the beginners and novices considering joining Speed's site. There is so much to learn in horsemanship, and roping and all the intricasies necessary to learn to catch. I have found that I have learned so much about so many facets about roping, and I have yet to try to catch from the back of a horse yet ! At first glance I thought it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but have found this is the best bargain out there if you have a desire to learn and improve. On the inside of the site you will feel like you are hanging out with Speed and his family at the house, making practice runs with him. There are times I felt like I was settin on my horse in the arena with them, and the voice overs make me feel like Speed himself rode up and was telling me about the run. He shows you the rodeo runs and gives details about all the good and bad things that happen when you get to the point of competing. I agree with Chris that the site is addicting ! If you are interested at all try it out, you wont be disappointed. I am truly looking forward to the day when I get a little better, so I can actually go to the house and get some lessons and
"actually" hang out in the arena with some really neat folks! Thanks

Speed Williams - 7/1/2011 12:22:48 PM
Chris thanks

Chris McSpadden - 6/30/2011 11:11:57 PM
Hey Speed- I just wanted to tell you how addicting your web site has become... I may need some marriage consoling because my wife seems to think I'd rather watch your videos than visit with her. Haha! I laid off roping for almost 15 years and your site has certainly helped catch me up on the evolution that has occurred over these years. Thanks and keep em coming!

farmer john - 6/30/2011 8:18:25 AM
Ray this is managed on your computer. Go to tools on bar then click tab which says delete browsing history. Click on it and window will appear giving you a password option.

RAY BORZINI - 6/29/2011 10:36:02 PM
ON SOME WEBSITES WHEN YOU GO TO LOG IN, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT IN THE FIRST LETTER OR TWO AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS COMES UP AND YOU CAN GO RIGHT TO THE PASSWORD. FOR SOME REASON THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN HERE. ALSO I NOTICE IF I GO TO A FEW OTHER WEBSITES AND COME BACK I HAVE TO LOG IN AGAIN. WONDER IF THERE IS AN EASY WAY TO REMEDY THIS. THANKS! R.B.

its very helpfull to hear how a pro looks at roping and what he considers during the run. Speed brings up things I don't even think about. Keep up the good work.

TYLER SAUNDERS - 6/23/2011 2:59:08 PM
Speed I really like the site. I enjoy when you have the higher number NFR caliber heelers over and you break it down. Really enjoyed watching Jade and how did some voice over. That was very informative. I would like more of that.

farmer john - 6/23/2011 12:15:40 PM
To think that Speed has been doing this videoing and analyzing all through career, and we are now able to follow along and learn. Small price.

Chan Peters - 6/23/2011 10:25:10 AM
Hey Speed
Thanks for breaking down the runs and explaining what is happening..
Thanks for even breaking down the bad runs.
Enjoy your time in the cool country

love the breakdown of each video . great help when you slow it down and break it down . keep up the good work speed

Paul Park - 6/23/2011 8:54:10 AM
We got a new head horse who runs up a little closer than we are used to. After watching the videos of roping right to left, I've seen a great improvement in my catch percentage. I've got my daughter working on it too. Just this improvement alone is worth the price of my subscription! Thanks

Paul Park - 6/23/2011 8:49:24 AM
Thanks for your breakdown of your Reno rodeo runs! Your comments on all the videos really show me the importance of video taping my and my daughters' runs in order to improve our roping.

Dan Scarbrough - 6/23/2011 2:17:49 AM
I think the website is great. I am a heeler so I like the breakdowns on that side a little better. I think my favorite aspect of the site is watching the top heelers rope at your place, I can watch it over and over again and copy their position, swing and delivery as I rope the sled or steers. I like the drills that you teach on the sled and I know my roping has improved immensely because of the website as I try to get on it every couple of days if not every day and catch up on the videos and perfect my roping. I would like to learn more about the psychological end of roping though, I think as ropers we can practice and practice, but sometimes need some help getting (or keeping!) our heads straight. My membership is worth every penny and I have won A LOT more than what I paid because of it. Keep up the great work.

Tyler Wayland - 6/23/2011 1:31:14 AM
Great Website, awesome tool. The membership has been worth the money, the videos and breakdowns/voice overs are priceless. Great website, better than any DVD I've seen.

Jeff Lynn - 6/17/2011 10:52:02 PM
speed ur site has take my ropin to a new level

Jeff Lynn - 6/17/2011 1:00:40 PM
Speed, Do horses with cut outer ligament in back of front leg usually make it back to head. Doc said one year off and had a fifty fifty chance.

farmer john - 6/16/2011 10:45:54 PM
Speed on Hot Heels With Jade Corkill and Marty Becker has to be the best video ever on heeling. Great to watch in slow motion.

Jake Lewis - 6/16/2011 11:55:45 AM
Speed I have noticed that there is a lot of videos that I watch and then try to go practice what I learn. I find myself going back to the same videos over and over to really drill it in to my mind. Is there some way that each member can set up a favorites that we can save in a queue.

Jeff Lynn - 6/15/2011 1:50:58 PM
Speed it dont matter on my brown horse now. He cut a tendon in rope pen tues nite. he is at Oak Ridge In Edmond OK. Surgery could not reattach the tendon cut on back of front leg. I had finished roping. Tied him up with tie down. He spooked at horse fly maybe. Dont know Pulled back broke tie down. Ran all over arena full tilt with braided rope reins hung under back leg. It caused the back hoof to overeach and cut front leg. Doc says one full year till I can ride and He has a fifty fifty chance to make it. He is nine. I have been training him for four years. Was gonna just start hauling him next week.

Dalton Dickie - 6/14/2011 1:57:14 PM
I noticed that also shawn.

shawn loehr - 6/14/2011 8:34:00 AM
Just wanted to comment on Trevor's gray horse. I notice he lets him look out to the left every run. Trevor never tries to fix it. I know every horse has some quirks. Whats your opinion

Brent Durham - 6/12/2011 7:25:52 PM
No No!

MATT OWENS - 6/12/2011 6:59:58 PM
Speed, I just wanted to say again how much i enjoy and LEARN from this site. I have been using alot of ur procedures that you use on ur good horses on my new horse who had a few holes in him. It has really made a diffence on him. Which in turn has allowed me to win some lately.
So again thanks alot for this site. I have enjoyed the "big horn" dummy also. Im going to stop by later this summer maybe.

Matt Owens

Jeff Lynn - 6/11/2011 10:27:14 PM
Ihave an eight yr old starbert head horse. really nice. could make a pro level horse. i brought him along real slow. he is so solid. good motor but brought him along so slow he wont blow up. But I am a good four and he widens out during my throw. no duck just widens to early. Ronnie graves rode him today. did same to him. I can catch but not as sure of myself. Ron said to ride to end of arena after catch. just turn off a few a day. SPEED do u have any thing to add. thanks.

Speed Williams - 6/7/2011 10:30:36 PM
Hey Shain thanks need to come by and head and heel some one day

Shain Sproul - 6/7/2011 2:04:01 PM
Speed,
I sure enjoy your website. I am always on here watching the videos and keeping up with who stops by your place thanks for sharing these videos with us. Good luck at the BFI, my wife and I will be out there, I am heeling for Dr. Bobby Boyd this year. Thanks again for helping our sport so much. Shain Sproul

Speed Williams - 6/2/2011 1:18:58 PM
The adds on the website are 200 a month or 500 for three months. The add sizes are 150px high by 135px wide. With over 15,000 videos watched every week this might be the place to run a add the next time. Thats over 60,000 videos watched every month.

Speed Williams - 6/1/2011 9:14:14 PM
I hear you have been winning there Ed

edward zangerle - 6/1/2011 8:11:09 AM
Speed,
The new face lift on your website is great. Thanks for all the hard work you,the entire family and your crew put forth on this web site.

Chan Peters - 5/26/2011 11:06:00 AM
I like the new look of the website.

Speed Williams - 5/26/2011 10:21:01 AM
They both are very good

Derek Conrad - 5/26/2011 8:37:25 AM
Really liked watching Trevor & Clay rope together, looks like they could hook up & be a real tuff team.

nate mohar - 5/26/2011 12:44:52 AM
If you are serious about roping and want to get better you should try Speed's web site it gives you a inside look at Speed's horsemenship and the way he practices. The knowledge is priceless, if you're not a member sign up. It's far worth the price of admission.

jorge guzman - 5/24/2011 10:29:11 PM
Thanks Speed,

I have seen the videos of Joe, he does good. I have two quater horses and trying to train them for team roping. One of the horses if finished, but the other one is not. I am very interested in team roping.

Thanks again Jorge Guzman, San Antonio, TX.

Speed Williams - 5/24/2011 9:47:01 AM
Mike thanks but there are a few more training websites out there now and you can learn stuff on all of them.

Mike Jordan - 5/21/2011 11:53:44 PM
This website is without a doubt the best one out there ! Speed is committed to making it great and it shows ! He continues to improve it on the inside to make it better and more educational for us members. It would greatly benefit any team roper at any level.

farmer john - 5/19/2011 9:47:03 PM
Get spoiled on the inside. Rich, Clay, Paul, Becker, Culpepper, Motes, and Jade. All in slow motion and voiced over. Its too cool to feel as if to be a part in Speed's life. The training methods on head and heel horses for particular events, all of which Speed has won multiple times is really the heart of the site.

Justin Cobbs - 5/18/2011 11:45:55 PM
Just watched the first two rounds of JB's match roping. Now that's some good watchin'! Can't wait for the rest of the rounds!

Ismael Miranda - 5/18/2011 8:44:02 PM
I didn't have money to by the hot heels, but found a hot heels standing dummy built it to an axle and attached legs it works great for my horses and myself to practice.

Speed Williams - 5/18/2011 8:34:58 PM
There are a lot of ways to help your roping by being creative just try to get it where it helps you have control of what you are trying to do

devon pellum - 5/18/2011 6:51:40 PM
thanks, randy

Randy Friesen - 5/18/2011 8:43:21 AM
Devon, we built a sled out of half inch square tubing and strapped a Jakesteer on it, and built legs on the back of it, and it works great. The horns don't collapse but there is alot of things I can work my horse on and my roping, hoped that helps.

devon pellum - 5/17/2011 10:40:04 PM
I dont have enough money to buy a the hot heels dummy and i was wondering what else could i do to improve my roping

Speed Williams - 5/17/2011 12:40:17 PM
Javier thanks and good luck with your roping

javier quiroz - 5/17/2011 11:52:15 AM

Derek Conrad - 5/16/2011 11:10:22 AM
How about a Les Vogt & Speed Williams bit line? Just an idea, can't wait till the next Les video.

Mark Marden - 5/12/2011 10:15:49 PM
Just wanted to say I bought a Verizon Galaxy Tablet the other day and the videos play great with hardly a hitch. Anywhere you have cell service it works. You can sit in the truck and watch some runs before your next call if you wanted. Pretty cool.

Perry Patterson - 5/12/2011 3:45:03 PM
I really got a lot out of how you and Jade broke down how different horses fit different styles and different ropers. Watching Clay, Rich, Brad all ride your horses really helped show that. I think anyone can get a plan together for their horse and themselves to get better, and that's what makes it fun!. Thanks!

brady crane - 5/12/2011 10:19:51 AM
Shoot i just cant get enough with this site! I believe i have watched every video twice! Speed you have done an outstanding job! I have really been impressed with all the great film. Plus its not just watching cool runs its a great learning tool for anyone out there looking to get better! Thanks Speed!!

Speed Williams - 5/12/2011 10:02:43 AM

Fred Pfeil - 5/11/2011 8:42:32 PM
Speed, I really enjoyed the runs with you and Jade. I got a real kick out of you two hackin on each other ! Really great stuff ! Plus some of the spins looked really cool. It was a real treat to watch you two go at it NFR style !

Mark Marden - 5/8/2011 12:36:13 PM
I waited 16 months to comment on this site. Lost my head horse in Nov of '09. Foot surgery in Jan of 2010. Joined this site while I was laid-up (member#45). I did nothing but watch videos and hobble out to the dummy for a long-ass time. Finally scraped up enough $ for a good horse in April of 2011. After not roping but a handful of steers in that 16 months I feel sharper w/ my rope, riding my horse, and handling steers than way back in 2009. No offense, but while I respected Speed I was never a big fan. Things change. You can spend a lot of time and money trying to figure things out on your own but the video and great explanation breaks it down and next to a good horse, maybe the best tool out there. That's just my 2 cents.

Paul Park - 5/7/2011 8:50:19 PM
Every chance I get, I check the computer to see if there's anything new loaded at speedroping.com. I learn from every video posted. I highly recommend the site to anyone interested in imporving his or her roping. My wife thinks I'm addicted. She may be right :)

farmer john - 5/7/2011 7:12:07 AM
My favorite aspect of being on the inside is the break down explanation and the slow motion of runs. Really get to see so much more. Speed really does give up the secrets he kept to himself while changing the sport.

Speed Williams - 5/4/2011 11:13:38 PM
NFR Tickets are half gone if you want good seats at the NFR better hurry

dusty wahl - 5/2/2011 1:07:46 PM

Tommy Duncan - 4/18/2011 10:46:47 AM
I'm a beginner roper and enjoying learning from your web site. Ive learned things from here that has helped me on alot of things. Looking forward to attending one of your schools soon. Thank you for all the great info!

Jack Thomas - 4/17/2011 4:54:50 PM
In the video "speeds practice at riches house before the crawfish" that one swing loop on that black baldy was beautiful!

shawn loehr - 4/10/2011 6:15:49 PM
I won my first ustrc roping this past saturday. I have learned so much from this site in the past few months. I can't wait to learn more, thanks so much.

Speed Williams - 4/9/2011 10:11:12 AM
The short for the HORKDOG is built but its 16 minutes long.I am having a hard time getting it loaded but will be home tonight so should be up Sunday evening. When you are used to having high speed internet and then you don't its not much fun verizon wireless does not load long videos very well.

farmer john - 3/30/2011 2:59:54 PM
What a treat! Speed and Rich, slowmow is fast. Creme de la creme.

Blake Hawkins - 3/28/2011 12:01:19 PM
Could add a category for Les bit videos?

monty hurlburt - 3/25/2011 11:12:40 AM
Hi speed great web site, just wondering if you could touch a little more on handleing. seems like some of the viewers are getting confused with stepping in front of the steer and they put the cattle into a roll which is fine but in the middle of all that they turn the steers loose, they forget that they still have to keep contact with the cow. also what is the cost of the advertising. thanks monty

nick gomzales - 3/24/2011 9:48:13 PM
judy gillum do they have heel horses for sale

Judy Gillum - 3/23/2011 9:16:20 AM
Mr Speed we really enjoy your site. Thanks so very much. We learn and Learn. Do you think we will ever get it figured out. Oz has lots of horses for sale.

farmer john - 3/8/2011 10:56:44 AM
Zangerle. Ditto on that. The work ethic and talent that won 8 gold buckels is now put into this site. Trade secrets are revealed. To watch the progress in these new horses is amazing. Results are pending.

edward zangerle - 3/8/2011 10:45:37 AM
Speed,
Today's info was great. For all of you who don't have a subscription to Speed Roping.com. You need to think long and hard about it . There is so much great info behind the Golden Locks.

brady crane - 3/7/2011 4:35:19 PM
I have really enjoyed all the great voice over videos. I have just recently started to get serious about heading and I believe your website has been a great tool for increasing my skills. Thanks!

Speed Williams - 3/1/2011 6:47:41 PM
Had Coleman Proctor and Marty Becker heeling at the house today and we were going at them like the George Strait. Should have some good videos of today practice soon.

Brian Gibson - 3/1/2011 1:48:11 PM
Speed,

I just wanted to say that your new questions & comments section is amazing. For you non subscribers, you ask a question and then Speed replies but his answer is kept attached to your original question inside a comment box which means even if it is a day or two after because Speed is busy winning the George Straight, your question and then the answer is all in one spot. I don't know how you find the time to do it, but thanks for honestly caring about helping ropers get better. By the way, I would like to see that George Straight thing come true so get to work.

Brian

Randy Friesen - 3/1/2011 11:09:39 AM
Listening and watching with what you do with your horses is great. It has helped me and my horse and given me access to know what to look for if I ever decide to buy a new horse. Thanks Speed. Have fun at the Strait.

Reed Rider - 3/1/2011 8:12:44 AM

Hey speed love the web site.i'm a #7 heeler an have a horse that ring her tail when i engaged the bridle before i make the corner. I've check for her being saddle sore an i've change bits. i've even bueted her to make sure it wasn't soreness.i've thought about aceing her because she gets a little excited going down the pen.Any advice would be great thanks.

Gary Spalding - 2/28/2011 4:21:35 PM
Thanks for the different angle.Good job camera person.

Speed Williams - 2/28/2011 8:22:15 AM

nicholas wolfe - 2/27/2011 7:45:45 PM
You're making a video on reaching, can you make a video on heeling where to look. Hocks, tips of the toes where exactly you prefer to look at. I have a bad habit of watching the head loop go on first. Thanks nick

jerry brennan - 2/27/2011 12:47:39 AM
great vidoe on roping close. i have started to miss the right horn when im reaching two to three coils back. i have been messing with the angle of swing, spoke, delivery and were im looking. one time will work next time will not. when you slow the vidoe down on a close up it really lets us see your angle of swing and delivery (how much right to left and both at the same time) when your close. please do the same in the reaching vidoe soon to come.
thanks from canada.

Ty Cahoon - 2/26/2011 10:32:21 PM
i was thinking you should put a video up of just heeling like ya have been and have marty do it and voice over on keeping your distance around the corner. I'm getting better just need a little more help from him. thanks Ty Cahoon

Steve Nolen - 2/26/2011 10:23:59 PM
Speed, just letting you know.I watched the video on what you did with VIPER & BOB ,about not turning steers on your good season head horses.SO I took that advice ,not turning steers in the pactice pen, just tracking, roping horns going to the saddle horn with pressure on steers heads just not turning off.TWO weeks later WACO USTRC#12 GOLD PLUS WON 4TH. THEN AGAIN TWO WEEKS LATER WON 3RD #12 WSTROPING.That video was the different maker in my horse and how I prepard for those roping THANKS STEVE NOLEN WEATHERFORD TX.

dale hahn - 2/26/2011 2:09:21 PM
Hey Speed, like the video on where you look at on the horns and roping different types and sizes of horns. I need to renew my subscription as Im coming up on one year and dont want to miss any of the fun. Good luck at Georges ropin. I like your new head horse-wish mine would squat for me to get on :-).

Miranda Knowles - 2/26/2011 12:23:07 PM
Speed,

Love your site it is so helpful, but I was wondering if you could go into more detail about caring for ropes. How does the weather effect them, we live in northern Montana and really can't seem to keep our ropes consistant. They feel great for practice, the next day the hondu is turned and it just doesn't feel right. We try to follow all of Al Bensons advice on breaking in our ropes but do you think going from the bitter cold to an humid indoor can affect a rope that much? Also, Me being a girl header and if my rope gets a backswing i find it very difficult to turn my rope over, I'm wondering what are the common causes of a backswing or what can i do to fix the rope? Thank you for putting together such a great site!

Thanks
Miranda Knowles

Justin Cobbs - 2/26/2011 9:22:24 AM
Great video on your target when running close. I have always made the base of the left horn my target and adjusted depending on size of the horns...

Daniel Aylward - 2/26/2011 9:06:10 AM
Good video on running close, it should help me at the jackpot today.

Speed Williams - 2/26/2011 8:02:09 AM
Noah it all depends on whats going on on how many horses I ride in a day 1 to 12. Yes roping muleys can affect your roping steers no question about it but it teaches how to rope one around the neck if you need to.

Travis Scott - 2/25/2011 3:48:48 PM
Hi Speed,

I must say this is a nice tool to have, I cant think of all the times I wanted to ask for advice from piers at the jackpots or practice pen.. but I either didn't have the courage or just figured I'd work it out on my own. This is perfect...

I also had the pleasure of roping with Jennifer at the Ty Yost NAA in Wickenburg AZ this Feb. cant say it worked out but enjoyed it anyway.

Dale Davis - 2/25/2011 9:38:56 AM
PETSKA CHAIN, lets have the low down.

Reed Rider - 2/23/2011 3:04:10 PM
Jennifer looks like she's matching Marty on the 2/22 session. I'd say thats good advertising right there. It might be an idea to do something similiar with a header, or put some footage up of what you work on at your schools for the headers. There's work on her, her horse, and your head horses, but it there isn't much up on you working with a header.

noah abadie - 2/23/2011 9:18:40 AM
Mr. Speed,
How many horses do you ride and rope on a day? Also would roping muleys affect my swing or delivery while roping steers?
Noah

Brian Gibson - 2/21/2011 9:35:42 AM
Speed,

Les Part 5 was awesome... Very good information on 6 pressure points that a bit can work with. Great stuff, I think the next part is even going to better. If you are not a paying memeber, you are truly missing out on some great information from Les Vogt.

Mike Hicks - 2/20/2011 12:16:53 PM
Hi Speed nice talking to you Wickenburg.

My problem is I get out and rope the horns pretty regular but pull it off the left horn way to often ? Any advice ?
Mike Hicks

Speed Williams - 2/18/2011 4:48:38 PM
Les part 5 coming Monday

Derrick Meylian - 2/18/2011 4:36:50 PM
I just wanted to say thank you for making it clear about roping from right to left vs. catching both horns at the same time. I was taught to rope right to left when running close when I was a kid, but when I got older, some local genius told me that style of roping was incorrect and yes, I listened to them. Thank you again!!!

Chad Hohenberger - 2/17/2011 8:54:37 AM
I'm with Justin

nicholas wolfe - 2/16/2011 8:14:28 PM

It is refreshing to know that there are still a few people left that care more about their intergity than they care about a check.
I raise roping horses and interested in the bloodlines of Two Moons and Sheriff.
Thanks in advance

Was that Clay O and Brock Hanson winning first. Im pretty sure that TG won 2 and 3. Good job on that head loop, anybody that has taken that money before will tell you that you always end up paying it back, usually with interest. The system has a way of balancing itself.

Max Bighorse - 2/11/2011 5:04:01 PM
Good Call and Good Ethics at the San Angelo Roping. I would have felt aweful taking the money too. Gut feeling is the best decision maker.

edward zangerle - 2/11/2011 1:19:09 PM
Hey Speed,
Just a quick note. I think you made the right call at the San Angelo roping. Just think of all the slander, trash talking and neg publicity that would be out there right now if you would have taken one red cent at that roping. Instead once again you demonstrated why you are a profesional in your game. Good job.

Brian Gibson - 2/11/2011 10:46:50 AM
Speed, Good stuff on making the call to not take the check. In todays world there are so many chances for people to take the easy way out. Your word and integrity should be important. You are a true role model for young ropers to pay attention to. Thanks for that.

BRAD ONEAL - 2/11/2011 10:01:03 AM
Good call man. Impressive not everyone would do that. you da man. brad oneal

dale hahn - 2/11/2011 1:33:23 AM

Hey Speed just wanted to leave a comment on how great I think your website is! It is has helped me with my roping and more importantly my horsemanship so much! To everyone that stops by and watches the free videos you are really missing out! Speed can slow things down and explain them like no one else! Currently I am 9 Elite heeler and carry a maximum heeling classification in both ACTRA and WTRC and I find something new and BENEFICIAL on the site everyday! So if your serious about winning, get a membership, get on the inside, and take your roping to a new level!!! Thanks again my friend for all the help and support and I cant wait to see more videos.

Craig Johnston - 2/8/2011 8:53:09 AM
Hi Speed
I was wondering about my membership. I do not remember when I signed up, but I know it is coming due. Do you send me an invoice reminder? I am really enjoying the site, and do not want my membership to run out. Thanks again for all the work you put into the site.
Craig

Hey mr. speed,

just wanted to say i went to a roping im mississippi this weekend and won the #8. We were a 26.3 on 8 head. we won first out of 123 teams. this was my first big roping and it was the first roping for the horse i roped on that i trained. There wasn't one person there advertising for speedroping.com so if you send me a few patches i will wear them and tell people how great and helpful speedroping is, even the free videos.

I am interested in getting a lesson, can you give me more info.

Max Bighorse - 2/5/2011 9:39:13 PM
Thanks for having Jennifer as a student, I am learning right along with her. I am a low number heeler, I know what I was doing wrong now. Lots of snow here, so I have the Heel-o-matic set up on the ground and timing it. Thanks a bunch Speed!!!

Chan Peters - 2/5/2011 5:51:50 PM
Awesome information from Les Thanks Ready for the next one

Chan Peters - 2/5/2011 10:13:08 AM
Oh yea tell Jenn thanks for being patient

Chan Peters - 2/5/2011 10:11:53 AM
Speed,
Thank you for the video with Jenn. I think that this is a problem that most heelers have. Using the arrows and stoping the video very helpful. Thanks again

Speed Williams - 2/4/2011 10:31:22 AM
Rick Yes I do schools for a week long and I will send you an email

Speed Williams - 2/4/2011 10:30:20 AM
Ed we did not talk about conformations because I have 4 hours of tape about just bits can you imagine how long a conversation that would have been. We both would get off subject way to easy and that one will have to wait a while

Speed Williams - 2/4/2011 10:26:40 AM
Chan I think you will like part 4 coming very soon

edward zangerle - 2/4/2011 8:28:38 AM
Hello Speed,
I'm enjoying every bit of the info you and Mr. Les are putting out there. I do have a question to ask and i hope I'm not getting ahead of of your show by asking, will you both be talking about the different types of comformations you may be looking for in a Head horse versus a Heel horse.
Thanks.
E.Z.
